G/S Solutions was contacted by Amway Inc. to assist with the development of a technology roadmap. The initial goal of the project was to focus on server consolidation and cost efficiences, with an eye towards covering growth of Amway's datacenter computing needs. Amway's core infrastructure consists of IBM Power Systems, including AIX and System P servers. The virtualization aspect of this project has to great benefit in terms of both ongoing cost reduction and high availability of Amway's core technology. IBM Flashsystem technology has been implemented alongside the Power Systems infrastructure to provide an additional boost in performance and reliability to the datacenter.

Amway is one of the world’s largest direct selling businesses operating in more than 100 countries and territories enabling independent owners to provide quality products to their customers with state of the art distribution and sales capabilities. Amway supports 21,000+ employees and 3+ million distributors, handling over 82 million orders per year.
